As a Community
Como Comunidad was born out of a simple belief that community works: Missouri’s underserved Hispanic communities face significant barriers, and the resources available often fall short. Our founders, with over 10 years of experience working within these communities, saw this need firsthand. They dedicated themselves to providing support in areas such as education, translation, immigration, addiction recovery, and housing.
But the challenges continued to grow, and it became clear that more needed to be done. That’s when our founders, alongside other passionate individuals, businesses, and nonprofits, came together to create Como Comunidad—meaning “as a community” in Spanish.
We believe in building bridges that connect Missouri’s Hispanic communities with resources and like-minded organizations, fostering a thriving and united future. By working together, we ensure that individuals facing obstacles don’t have to face them alone.
Located in Columbia, MO, we’re here to break down barriers and build up communities. Join us in creating a better future for everyone, where prosperity flows both ways through the bridges we build.

Como Comunidad empowers Missouri’s Hispanic and immigrant communities by breaking down barriers to opportunity and access.
